Final distribution for performers launched for the years 2015 and 2016

Today, GVL is launching the payouts of remuneration to its eligible performers as part of the final distribution for the years 2015 and 2016.

With the final distribution, GVL is closing the distribution for the usage years 2015 and 2016. All funds, including reserves that are available to us for these years, will be distributed. Exempt thereof are revenues for contributions to productions which belong to the so-called open budgets such as jingles and advertising. These will take place shortly.

Do you have questions about the distribution? You can find the respective answers in our FAQs on the distribution.

Overall, a payout of approximately €30m for 2015 and approximately €47m for 2016 will be made (compared to the last subsequent distribution in November 2020, see graphs for the individual distribution budgets). For the 2015 distribution year, about €86m and for 2016 about €83m were available.

These funds will now be distributed to all rights holders who submitted their contributions in productions with usages in 2015 and 2016 within the required notice period.  As such, 117,507 performing artists took part in the 2015 distribution and as many as 142,383 performing artists for the 2016 distribution.

Note: Performers who receive a payout will be informed by e-mail as soon as a current payout notification is available in my.gvl. Rights holders for whom we do not have an e-mail address, will receive their payout notification by post, as usual. Over the coming weeks, detailed reports of the relevant years can be viewed in my.gvl.
