To provide tangible financial relief for freelance or short-term employed performers who have got into economic difficulties, GVL has decided to pay an advance to affected performers. In order to receive it, rightsholders are requested to submit an application forthe corona relief by 30 April 2020.
GVL has adopted an additional type of short-term assistance: Advance payments to GVL producers of sound recordings were launched today. At the same time, we are working at full speed on advance payments for performers.
Over the period of just a few days, GVL mobilised all of its 190 employees to the extent that they are able to work from home and operations for our rightsholders can be maintained with only a few restrictions.
Events regarding the coronavirus have been developing extremely fast over the past few days. We know that many of you also find themselves in an exceptional situation. In addition to health concerns, economic aspects also play a major role, especially among our rightsholders.
Today, GVL started with its payouts of remuneration in the course of its final distribution 2010-2012, as well as for regular distributions 2013-2017 and the initial distribution 2018 (without music video clips) for event organisers.
